Ahlcon’s Endeavour : Sanskrit Workshop




As an endeavor to make Sanskrit language teaching exceptional and to find different ways to rouse the interest of the students in Sanskrit language, 25 teachers from various schools of Delhi attended a Sanskrit workshop organised on 4th August’12 in Ahlcon International School. The chief guest of the event was Dr. Chand Kiran Saluja who is presently working as a Professor in Central Institute of Education, Delhi University. The guests were overwhelmed when they were welcomed by Principal, Mr. Ashok Kumar Pandey, by the chanting of a shaloka. He stressed upon the factors that can contribute to the promotion of the language. The vivid performances of the children mesmerized the guests. Teachers shared their ideas and teaching methods with the help of PowerPoint presentations. Dr. Chand Saluja  emphasized on the significance and promotion of the language. He also weighed upon the various teaching methods deployed to make Sanskrit teaching and learning more effective.  Incharge, Ms. Anju Gupta thanked all the teachers and the guest of honor for sparing their precious time and attending the workshop. She added that the honor of our Vedic language can be revived only by working relentlessly and very soon this beautiful language will gain its lost glory.

 (NETWORK OF EUROPE ORIENTED SCHOOLS).


§  It is a network of currently 22 schools in 7 European countries, based on the ‘Cologne Declaration’.  This Declaration comprises of a binding mission statement and quality standards in the following areas:
§  Intercultural Learning,Language Learning,Foreign Projects,Orientation Knowledge,European Career Orientation,Curriculum/School Programme, Framework Conditions.
Our school is the first institute from INDIA and ASIA CONTINENT to take initiative and become a supporting member of this EYON- which is a two year long running project-divided in 5 phases.
Ms. Shalini Rastogi and 3 students of our school had attended its previous second phase workshop inEurapaschule colonge-Germany:  our  partner school  , in the month of November-2011. This year again our school got invitation for attending  Comenius teacher meeting in Halikko, Finland, from 18th April – 21st April -2012. 33 teachers from 8 Countries namely - Finland, Germany, Spain, Hungary, Italy, France, Poland, India22 schools met in Halikon Lukio school, Halikko(Finland) - to discuss the progress of EYON Project. Ms. Shalini Rastogi and Ms. Sumedha Sodhi  represented our school in this life long learning program.Their trip was scheduled from. 16th April -21st April-2012. They visited Elementary, secondary schools, Art Mueseum, Central library in SALO city-18th largest city in finland by population comprising of 55,000 inhabitants. In Finnish schools they attended different subject related teaching lessons and got a glimpse of FINLAND educational system . They were invited by Ms. Sari Nojonen - English teacher  to stay in her home with her family. The most memorable EXPERIENCE for our teachers was the hospitality that Sari and her family extended to them. Her eagerness to help and make our teacher’s visit comfortable , unforgettable, left a lasting impression on Ms. Shalini and Ms. Sumedha’s hearts.

 TEACHER’S DAY AT AHLCON 


To express their gratitude towards their teachers, the students of middle section of AIS, thrilled their teachers on the occasion of Teacher’s Day by organizing an entertaining program on 4th September, 2012. The program was presided over by Principal, Mr. Ashok K. Pandey and In charges of Primary, Middle and Senior departments. The event started with a speech on the importance of Teacher’s Day by Shivani Chandra. Musical titles were presented to the Principal, In Charges and all the teachers by the student Council. A play based on moral values was the main attraction of the program. Principal motivated the children by congratulating them for their astonishing performances. Different plays and dances were performed by the children in an extraordinary fashion. To get a taste of teaching, student- teachers took over the responsibility of teaching the classes for a day. Overall it was a fun filled program organized by the students and a moment of great pride for the teachers to see children performing so confidently on their own.
AHLCONITES IN DREAMLAND






 

7th September 2012  was a golden day for the four hundred visitors from Ahlcon International School, when they  landed in the KINGDOM OF DREAMS . It was a fairy tale come alive for the 385 Middle school students and 30 teachers because it’s the ultimate entertainment and leisure destination, sprawling across acres of land, ideally located at the apex of the golden triangle of Jaipur, Agra and Delhi . Here, the carnival that is India is distilled into one iconic destination. This fabulous Kingdom brings to life a blend of India's art, culture, heritage, craft, cuisine and performing art...all with the technological wizardry of today. 

The ecstatic team of students and teachers received a warm welcome by the Nagara and Dhol Players. The enchantingly beautiful interiors had a make believe world ready for the young visitors. Culture Gully, which is an elaborate culture, arts, crafts and food boulevard, had enough to offer for sensory delights. After relishing the savories of various states and treating our eyes to the splendid visual delights we proceeded to Nautanki Mahal which showcased an extravagant cinematic and theatrical musical, JHUMROO- a tribute to the famous legend Kishore kumar.

   This is a destination which captured the imagination of all the Ahlconites. The team returned by late evening carrying unforgettable memories of a uniquely unusual trip to the KINGDOM OF DREAMS.


Ahlconites celebrated the ‘Hindi Diwas ‘


As we all know that the soul of our Nation resides in our Mother tongue i.e. Hindi. It serves as the strongest medium to express the culture as well as heritage of our country. So, to strengthen the roots of this language on 29th Aug, 2012 Ahlcon Int’l School took a pioneer step by organizing ‘Hindi Natak Pratiyogita’ on the topic of ‘Bal Adhikar .  Wherein the students of 10 schools of Delhi and NCR took part .The programme was inaugurated by the chief guests Mr. J. P Sing- the Joint  Secretary  of Sahitya Kala Parishad ,  Mr. Vivek Gautam -the renowned poet , Mrs. Sunita Sharma -the Vice- Principal of K. S. V. School . The dignitaries were welcomed by the Principal Mr. Ashok Kumar Pandey . Everyone was spellbound by the performances of the students which showcased the importance of child education and terrible plight of child labor.  The Kwali  performance of the students of Ahlcon Int’l School was  also appreciated by all. The programme was concluded by the vote of thanks by In charge Middle Section Mrs. Anju Gupta.
