‘THRIVING SANSKRIT AT AHLCON’

We at Ahlcon strongly believe that Sanskrit is the cultural language of India since time immemorial; it flows in the blood of every Indian. So, to create a bridge between the ancient and the modern times, we have been trying to strengthen the roots of this language under the expert supervision of the Principal, Mr. Ashok kumar Pandey and the school Incharges. To enhance the listening, speaking, reading and writing skills of our students time to time special programs have been organized in the school such as prayer sessions in Sanskrit, special summer classes for spoken Sanskrit, visit to Sanskrit Gramam – Muttur, Sanskrit day celebration, workshop for Sanskrit teachers, long term training for students, Sanskrit show and last but not the least exhibition on the role of Science in Sanskrit . In order to inculcate in students the love to learn their ancestral language,  a well- planned approach has been followed by the Sanskrit Dept of the school .  For instance Sanskrit was adopted as the medium of conversation, audio/video CDs of Sanskrit and books like ‘Sanskrit Vyavaharsahasri’ , vadatusamskritam’, citrapadakoshah’ etc were given as prizes and gifts to motivate excelling students, charts with Sanskrit names and pictures of the things related to daily life were made and displayed on the boards. With these efforts the students have shown commendable improvement in their speaking and writing skills and interest for this language has been regenerated in the minds of young Ahlconites .
